A test case

Published by RedBlueThoughts at 4:42 am under Uncategorized Edit This

The PNP has arrested Lintang Bedol. On the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by the COMELEC, Lintang was nabbed in Maguindanao and immediately airferried to Manila.

Bedol’s case will be a test case for two reasons: One, it would prove how determine government is about prosecuting these criminals. And two, this will the first case where the law against election offenses will be enforced. Law enforcement is a business solely against the poor and the downtrodded. In Bedol’s prosecution (and eventual execution), this will allow government to show the world how determined it is to enforce its laws.
