Weird Doctrine

A Filipino preacher who founded what he calls the “Church of God” often criticizes the Iglesia ni Cristo of Felix Y. Manalo. This preacher says that the INC is not the true church as what it claims to be because it often criticises its doctrines.  Through what he calls a critical examination of the teachings of the Church through its official publications, this preacher says that everything that the INC taught to its members are all wrong and that it is not the True Church as what it claims to be.

Well, the only thing I can say about this is: according to what I’ve studied about the True Church, this church strictly adheres to at least four (4) governing principles: One, the belief in the supremacy of a One True God who spoke to the Ancients and the Prophets; Two, this church recognizes the humanity of Christ. For the True Church, Christ is a special human being annointed by God to preach His true message which was previously corrupted by the first church, Israel. Christ is not God and neither was he a man who became god because if that is the case, then, it would destroy the original message that the True God sent to man as a basis for salvation. Three, the true church adheres to the commandments of this True God. Lastly, this True Church is united based on the bible and the traditions handed down to it by the first church which can be read from the Bible.

If your church believes in these four governing principles and its members live Christian lives, then, you are in the True Church. This church by the way, should bear the name of the one handed by God as its Head Minister. Because according to the Bible, the one True Church that God will save bears the name of the One Shepherd and Head Minister and that is Christ who already purchased the Church by his blood.

This I believe wholeheartedly because this is what the Bible told us.

Political Intramurals

Things are heating up. The Opposition is currently in cloud 9. Pulse Asia said, 10 of its candidates are sure to win the Senatorial elections. Well, if GMA will not cheat (again!). But I think she will not. The Opposition is not getting it. The battle is not at the Senate but in the lower House. If GMA wins majority of the seats there, then, there will be no more Senate to speak of come 2007, right? As things progress, the GMA camp is sure to get the majority seats.

*******************************************************************************************

Its official– Mike Defensor is now out of power. Today, he is replaced by Joey Salceda, another GMA stooge. So the Ermita faction wins. All members of the anti-Ermita group are out of the loop already, starting with Atty. Cruz who once headed the powerful Defense post.

Poor Mike. He was evidently eased out of the power loop. This once promising young man has peaked so early in his political career.  Mike is the primary example of a once idealistic young man eaten by the system. I shudder the thought of Mike just lingering in coffee shops, waiting for crumbs.

*********************************************************************************************************

Same as with controversial governor Chavit Singson. A blabbermouth, Singson dared his critics to fight him in the senatorial derby. Poor old man! He thinks that he’s invincible. He thinks that he’s too powerful to be defeated. Look at him, he’s what? 46th place in the survey? Is that proof of his winnability? As what the Bible says, God will humble the mighty.

**********************************************************************************************************

Wittingly or unwittingly, Mrs. Arroyo is now flanked on all sides by FVR’s men. If FVR moves his muscle, he may yet be the last man laughing.

*******************************************************************************************************

KAMPI is said to be “raiding” Lakas-Tao, the political party of former prexy FVR. The problem with GMA’s men, they seem to be very confident of themselves. They are not tacticians. They are not as savvy as FVR’s men. They think that they already have the upper hand when FVR has already consolidated his forces. FVR has two aces in his sleeves. He may decide to pull these aces once the elections goes violent or very dirty.

********************************************************************************************************

As what I’ve expected a year ago, the economy is definitely improving. The IMF said the economy could go up to 5.6% GDP. The prospects are very bright. And it should be. The only way for a depressed market to go is up. It also shows that the economy has been effectively insulated from politics. This is great news for those who want either a coup or a revolution. If a coup happens today and GMA is ousted, the economy will definitely survive it all.

*********************************************************************************************************

I’m glad that Surigao Congressman Prospero Pichay is throwing his hat into the senatorial derby. It would be very good for the country. One, the public would be spared from Pichay’s pseudo-intellectualism. Congress will not miss Pichay. In fact, Congress will be better without him. Two, by running for the senate, Pichay will finally realise that he’s really hated by the people.

I’m writing this also for Richard “Goma” Gomez, former Senator Tessie Aquino-Oreta, Ed Angara, Gina de Venecia and the rest of the has-beens who thinks they’re the darlings of the Filipino People when all the people want from them is to shut up and fade away. At least, after this elections, Angara and Oreta will be no more. Good riddance!

Lies

If someone lies to you and you know it, what would you do? Some would probably ignore the simpleton. Some would probably punch the liar and curse him/her to hell.

Me? Well, I’ll ignore the person and just go on my way. I’ll not waste my time on her/him. That’s what I’m doing now. Before, I use to seethe in righteous anger whenever this shithead blabbers her way to my head. This is worst than I thought. I don’t trust her anymore and when I do this, i’ll liberate myself from this shit.

Today’s Outlook for

Thursday February 08, 2007

The Moon enters magnetic Scorpio at 10:09 am EST, intensifying our feelings and reminding us that intellect can’t always control emotions. The Sun makes its annual conjunction with spiritual Neptune today, illuminating fantasies without necessarily making them real. Still, it’s our imagination that creates the blueprints for tomorrow’s buildings, so we must pay careful attention to our dreams, for they now offer important clues to what lies ahead.

It’s not a great day for financial decisions, for you probably don’t want to get bogged down in the details of numbers. Instead of paying bills, try your hand at a different type of accounting. Balance what you don’t like about yourself with your best attributes. Taking stock in your strengths and weaknesses can be a healthy exercise in self-awareness.
